چکیده
We determine the cost of serving Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) traffic (1 ms one-way latency, 99.999% reliability) in 5G New Radio (NR) Macro cellular networks. The is measured as degradation enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) downlink system capacity when a certain offered load URLLC on same radio carrier. A methodology for assessing presented, which takes into account all aspects related to configuring suitable resource allocation and link adaptation strategy, well associated control channel overhead due use mini-slots with very frequent resources monitoring data assignments. When taking holistic view performance, advanced system-level simulation results show that 1 Mbps an eMBB throughput reduction up 60 Mbps, i.e. can be times more costly than traditional best-effort. presented used by service providers, such operators, understanding dimensioning tradeoffs impact towards network services adding their portfolio.

Machine-to-machine communication, M2M, will make up a large portion of the new types of services and use cases that the fifth generation (5G) systems will address. On the one hand, 5G will connect a large number of low-cost and low-energy devices in the context of the Internet of things; on the other hand it will enable critical machine type communication use cases, such as smart factory, autom...
متن کاملLow-latency Ultra Reliable 5G Communications: Finite-Blocklength Bounds and Coding Schemes
Future autonomous systems require wireless connectivity able to support extremely stringent requirements on both latency and reliability. In this paper, we leverage recent developments in the field of finite-blocklength information theory to illustrate how to optimally design wireless systems in the presence of such stringent constraints. Focusing on a multi-antenna Rayleigh block-fading channe...
متن کاملJoint Uplink and Downlink Resource Configuration for Ultra-reliable and Low-latency Communications
Supporting ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) is one of the major goals for the fifth-generation cellular networks. Since spectrum usage efficiency is always a concern, and large bandwidth is required for ensuring stringent quality-of-service (QoS), we minimize the total bandwidth under the QoS constraints of URLLC. We first propose a packet delivery mechanism for URLLC. To r...
